OLYMPIAD Duo Headed to Fasig-Tipton November

Two weanlings from OLYMPIADs first crop are set for the Fasig-Tipton November Sale this week when his first crop makes its debut at the breeding stock sales.

Gainesway consigns the first of the pair for Boyd Browning Jr. as Hip 46.

The colt is the first out of the Pioneerof the Nile mare Valentina Island, who is a half-sister to four winners. Those winners include the stakes winner and multiple Grade 1 placed Red Vine and the stakes winning Breakthrough.

They were following a tradition that has been generations in the making with each of Valentina Island’s first seven dams producing stakes performers. Included directly on the page are multiple graded stakes winner Fort Prado and stakes winners Cammack and Trail Ridge Road among others.

A full sister to TAPIT’s stakes placed Mind Out is the dam of the Gainesway-bred Hip 313, a colt consigned by Ballysax Bloodstock.

Protect is also a half-sister to the two-time champion Miss Mischief with her other half-sister producing dual Grade 1-placed Rowayton. There is Grade 1 form throughout the pedigree with the colt’s stakes placed second dam a half-sister to Grade 1 winner J P’s Gusto and to the dam of champion Letruska with Grade 1 winner Proud Spell under his fourth dam – that dam also a half-sister to Grade 1 winner Imaginary Lady.

The Fasig-Tipton November Sale starts at 2pm and kicks off nearly two weeks of sales with the Keeneland November Breeding Stock Sale starting the next day.
