Gainesway Well Represented by Graduates In Grade 1 Winner’s Circle

It’s been another big year for Gainesway graduates on the track, led by a classic winner in Belmont Stakes (G1) victor Archangelo.

That colt was one of four stakes winners for the consignment during that day’s racing and continued a banner year for Gainesway. Also visiting the winner’s circle that day were Adare Manor, Emmanuel, and Amstrong with two of them winning at the graded stakes level.

Blue Grass Stakes (G1) winner Tapit Trice gave Gainesway a 1^st/3^rd place finish in the Belmont Stakes two starts after registering his own Grade 1 during a four-race win streak.

More recently, Adare Manor added a Grade 1 victory to her record on Saturday in the Clement L. Hirsch (G1) when scoring her fourth straight win. She has finished in the top two in 10 of 12 starts with $861,600 in earnings.

In all, Gainesway has registered three new Grade 1 winners in 2023 to take their overall total to 23 Grade 1 winners sold in the last eight years.

Gainesway’s commitment to quality has seen champions such as Monomoy Girl, Covfefe, and Jaywalk among those Grade 1 winners with the graduate list including everything from top level juveniles to classic winners and everything in between.

In the sales ring, Gainesway has been the number one consignor by average nine of the last 10 years and had more million-dollar yearlings last year than any other consignor.

Offering the sale topper at last year’s Fasig-Tipton Saratoga Sale, Gainesway returns with 16 set to go through the ring on Monday and Tuesday night this week.
