The only MCKINZIE offering at the Fasig-Tipton Saratoga Sale was in-demand on Tuesday when it took a $500,000 bid for Live Oak Plantation to take her home.
Offered by Gainesway, the filly from the second crop of MCKINZIE comes from a successful family throughout the generations. She is a half-sister to multiple stakes winner Honor Up and stakes winner and Grade 3-placed Blueridge Traveler from the eight winners out of Grade 3 placed Unobstructed View.
That mare also proved to have ability as a dam of stakes producers when her winning TAPIT daughter produced multiple stakes placed More Ice.
Unobstructed View is one of eight winners out of her own dam, who is a half-sister to stakes winning Tonyspal Craig and two other successful broodmares. In all, this page has 12 stakes performers with six winning stakes.
An in-demand sire every year at the sales, MCKINZIE has found success on the track as well with his four winners eighth best of all freshmen this year.
