RAGING BULL only had one offering at this week’s Fasig-Tipton Saratoga Sale, but that one was in high demand when L.E.B. signed a ticket on West Point’s behalf after a $410,000 winning bid.
Named Bullfight and consigned by Warrendale for Mesingw Farm, the colt is a half-brother to the Grade 2 winner Andthewinneris. His juvenile half-sister made a timely trip to the winner’s circle as well, winning after the catalog was released to give his dam Run Like the Boss three winners from five to race.
Run Like The Boss is a half-sister to the stakes placed Bang For Your Buck and five other winners, including the nine-time winner Imperial Hornet and seven time winner Sea of Liberty. They are out of a daughter of champion and Group 1 winner Santona, who produced the Pennsylvania Derby (G3) winner Grand Hombre and the dam of Group 3 winner and Group 1 placed Lago En El Cielo among others.
RAGING BULL proved to be consistently talented with three Grade 1 wins and 12 graded stakes placings overall with his Grade 1s coming at three, four, and five. His first juveniles hit the track next year.
