Demand for mares in-foal to MUTH continued through Books 3 and 4 of Keeneland November, led by a $310,000 mare bought by East Bloodstock as the second highest priced in-foal mare of the fourth session.
Offered by Woods Edge Farm, 4-year-old Encourageeachother won twice on the track as the first foal out of the stakes winning Into Mischief mare Sister Nation. That mare is a three-quarter sister to the Grade 3 winner and Grade 2-placed Money Supply, who registered his second win this year. Her 3-year-old half-brother Versus also added more blacktype to the family when third in the Kent S. after the catalog was released.
Carrying her first foal, Encourageeachother also sees Grade 1 winner Evita Argentina on the page as well as multiple stakes winning Notorious Gangster. This is also the extended family of Grade 1 winner Trippi. In all, each of Encourageeachother’s first three dams have either produced stakes winners or won at least one stakes.
Time Is Magic joined Fred Hertrich’s famed breeding program for $210,000 while carrying her first foal by MUTH.
A Not This Time mare, Time Is Magic is a full sister to the Grade 3-placed Hopeful Princess and a half-sister to the dam of the multiple stakes placed Heldish among five winners out of her dam More Than Magic. That mare is a half-sister to Grade 3 winner Street Magician and the dams of Grade 2 winner Future Is Now and stakes winners I’m Stoke and Call Another Play.
In all, Time Is Magic’s pedigree suggests she’ll be a successful broodmare with eight stakes performers under her first two dams led by four stakes winners.
It was a big debut sale for MUTH, who saw mares carrying his foals sell for $525,00, $450,000, $310,000, $260,000, etc. for 19 sold throughout the week-long November sale.
