It was three millionaires from five sold for Gainesway at the Fasig-Tipton November Sale led by Breeders’ Cup Filly and Mare Turf (G1) winner Kathynmarissa.
That mare came into the ring with a huge update after winning at the Breeders’ Cup just two days before the sale and her connections were rewarded she brought $3.2 million from Katsumi Yoshida. The third most expensive offering of the sale, this is the third straight year Gainesway has sold a top five priced horse at this elite night of offerings.

Kathynmarissa went through the ring with eight wins and five other top three finishes in 16 starts for $3,255,745 in earnings. The Breeders’ Cup capped off a three-race win streak for the American Pharoah daughter, who won two Grade 1s in that time and won four times in five starts overall in 2026.
The Gainesway-offered Italian Soiree sold to Don Alberto for $1.2 million late in the sale.
The Uncle Mo 4-year-old was the second most expensive Gainesway offering, going through the ring after finishing second in this summer’s Intercontinental S. (G2). That was the fourth stakes top three finish for Italian Soiree, who won last year’s Coronation Cup (G3) and was also fourth in a Grade 1 as a juvenile.
In all, Italian Soiree went through the ring with a record of five top two finishes in 13 starts for $343,148 in earnings, including a win this year.
Rounding out the millionaire trio was a weanling out of Solo Album selling for $1 million to Caitlin Dunne, who was agent for Asagi Stables.

The second most expensive weanling of the sale, the February-born Into Mischief daughter is the first foal out of Grade 3 winner Solo Album. That Curlin mare is one of three stakes performers out of Grade 1-placed Summer Solo alongside TAPIT’s stakes winner and Grade 2-placed Maedean and TAPIT’s stakes placed grandson Steel Imperium. Maedean is also the dam of the stakes placed Gylfi.
This extended family includes KARAKONTIE’s champion She Feels Pretty, who is out of this filly’s granddam’s half-sister.
Gainesway’s five to sell averaged $1,168,000 to kick off a strong draft of horses at this year’s November sales for Gainesway.
