$225,000 Jeweled Princess Tops July Breeding Stock Sale for Gainesway

Gainesway kicked off the Fasig-Tipton July sales on a high note Monday afternoon when Jeweled Princess topped the Breeding Stock Sale, selling for $225,000 to Stoneriggs Farm.

Bringing $50,000 more than the second most expensive horse, the Gainesway-consigned Jeweled Princess was the only offering in foal to top freshman sire Gun Runner. Ending her 2020 campaign with a win in the Listed She’s All In Stakes, the 4-year-old won four of her 15 starts with five other on-the-board finishes for $216,275 in career earnings for Walking L Thoroughbreds and trainer Kenny McPeek.

The Gun Runner foal the Cairo Prince daughter is carrying is bred on a similar cross to the Grade 1 winning Separationofpowers, Rock Your World, and Gift Box.

Jeweled Princess is out of a three-time winning Scat Daddy half-sister to stakes winner Miss Brazil, Grade 2-placed Hammers Vision, and stakes place First Girl. Her family also includes Grade 1 winners Al Bahathri, Haafhf, Spanish Fern, Military Attack, and others.

Gainesway also has a big presence in the yearling portion of the sale with 11 yearlings set to go through the ring during the Tuesday sale.
